On Feb. 20, 2000, I was admitted to an area hospital for emergency surgery to repair a leaking AAA. The surgeon told me that he had never seen an AAA in someone my age---I was 50 at the time. Is it possible that the weakening om the aorta and eventual aneurysm may have been a result of my exposure to Agent Orange I was in Vietnam in 1968-1970? Fortunately for me, it sprung a leak and didn`t rupture or I wouldn`t be here today.
I'm not aware of any connection between agent orange and aneurysms. People can get aneurysms at an earlier age; you do need to make sure that you have annual follow up and family members should be screened as well.
