I am allergic to Advil…. I break out in hives, if I take it any length of time…… Can I take Aleve???

Answer:

As both Alleve and Advil are non-sterodial anti-inflammatory agents I would avoid both due to their potential cross-reactivity. 

You would need to see an experienced board certified allergist experienced with addressing drug reactions who could help determine what you could or could not tolerate and make recommendations about further evaluation and treatment of the Advil sensitivity.
