Roof of Mouth is White and Rough02/22/2011 |
On tuesday of this week I woke up and noticed the roof of my mouth felt rough. I thought I had burned it a litle the day before while eating so thought nothing of it. On Wednsday I looked in the mirror and noticed the whole roof of my mouth is white and rough. Almost like the skin is dried out. I did recieve an allergy injection on Monday evening. There is no pain and saliva is not a problem. Any ideas?
It could be a "pizza burn" that should heal itself in 3-10 days. It could also be a fungus (Candida) infection that might respond to mouthwash. Repeated use of allergy inhalers not allergy injections might cause lesions on the roof of the mouth and throat.
