Kidney Pain03/23/2011 |
Often, medium to severe pain in my kidney area (both sides) on my back awakens me. I have found this is followed by severe diarrhea. After I am through with my bowel movements (several) the pain goes away. Should I be concerned?
Please see the link to our article about "Kidney Pain." From your description, it seems unlikely that your pain is coming from your kidneys. Diarrhea can definitely be preceded by pain, probably related to muscle spasms in the colon, and this is the more likely cause.
