Menses irregularity03/18/2011 |
My girlfriend faces menses iregularity. She reached puberty at the age of 14. Her periods last fo maximum 3 days. At times she gets bleeding or no bleeding at all. Recently she started facing breastache too. But nthing related to breast cancer. Right nw she s 17yrs old. Why s she facing menses irregularity nd breast ache. What preacautions should we take now?
Sometimes teenage women can have irregular periods, but it sounds like they may have been regular, and now are not. It that's true, there are a few things to consider. First, did she just start on the pill, or on a new form of birth control? That could result in irregularity and/or breast aching. It could also account for decrease in the amount of bleeding. If by "precautions," you are asking about pregnancy prevention, please be sure to use a good method of birth control if you don't want to become pregnant. If the irregular periods continue, she should talk to her health care provider.
