9 Month Old Black Hard Bump in Mouth04/14/2011 |
I noticed a black bump on the roof of my BAbys mouth. What is this? ??
Although it is unlikely to be a serious finding, a dark spot of the roof of the mouth is unusual enough that you should get an appointment with your dentist or a pediatric dentist who specializes in seeing children so the spot can be examined more carefully. This is especially true if the dark bump doesn't go away or becomes larger. Possible explanations could include a bruise-like area to a benign dark spot similar to a mole on the skin. Good luck!
