Question:

Recently, I diagnose with mucosal prolapse. If I do not treat it will I end up developing full thickness prolapse or not? thank you

Answer:

Most likely the answer is no, as the etiology of each prolapse is very different. That being said, mucosal prolapse is not likely to improve without an operation to decrease the amount of redundant tissue, and fixation of the remaining tissue within the anal canal.
