I had a CT scan that said "in righ base centrally (infrahilar region),there is a slightly lobulated 18mm by 15mm mas. There are tiny lymph nodes in the pretracheal retrocaval space. I am a smoker and started seeing doctor for shortness of breath, dry cough, fatique. My pulmonary function test showed severely decreased effusion capacity. I have great family history of lung cancer. Do you think I may have lung cancer?
Thank you for visiting NetWellness. It's a possibility; however, many things can cause masses in the lung. Your doctors may recommend a biopsy to identify the origin of the mass.
