The list of diseases caused by smoking as been expanded and confirms those identified in earlier Surgeon General Reports.

Black & Milds (03/18/2008 06:17PM)
I was wondering what the effects of taking out the filter and placing the tobacco in a Black and Mild cigar would have on someone, versus leaving the filter in? Removing the filter in a B/M will have no effect on your health. Eventually Black and Mild = Black and Dead.

Smoking Cessation for Young Men (07/31/2000 05:01PM)
As a result, I have been charged with finding effective smoking cessation programs for this population. (See link below.) The recommendations are based on meta-analyses of many studies and conclude that there is a significant effect of pharmacotherapy (nicotine replacement and ...

Effect to your health, of smoking ~5 a month (11/13/2006 04:06PM)
APART from the obvious risk of addiction and potential to increase the amount you smoke, how harmful is this?

I am asking as I am concerned about my girlfriend (age 28), who smokes maybe once or twice a month at 2-3 cigs a time, because she claims to enjoy it.

Thanks

There is a clear causal relationship between the number of cigarettes smoked (amount of tobacco consumed) to adverse health effects; the greater the number/amount, the greater the risk.
