I had no signs of PMS whatsoever, i always PMS before my periods. Am I pregnant and got my period just because of Yasmin? The change in symptoms before menses and the period itself are a result of taking Yasmin.

Last month my period was heavier than it usually is and my PMS symptoms were worse than they usually are (I got the same PMS as I always do it was just worse). This month my PMS was very mild and my period was lighter than it usually is. Is it possible that I ovulated twice last month so I didn`t ovulate this month, or what could be the reason of my 2 very different periods.

Not every month, but occasionally, I will have light premenstrual spotting about a week before my period. It hasn`t happened in about 5 months but is happening this month. There are many causes for premenstrual bleeding.

I was thinking of "taking a break" from the pill for a little while. I am worried though because when I am off the pill for those 7 days of the month, my PMS comes on very very strong. There are many non-contraceptive benefits from remaining on the pill i.e.- decreased bleeding, pain, PMS, acne, ovarian and uterine cancer to name a few.

Those PMS symptoms occur as the hormones that follow ovulation are decreasing. The first cycles after childbirth and breastfeeding may not follow ovulation and therefore may not have the typical symptoms. It is possible that the breast changes that occur with pregnancy and breastfeeding have left your breasts less sensitive to the hormonal changes.

The past two periods that I have had since being off the pill, I have noticed some spotting(brownish) 2-3 days before the actual period begins. I did ovulate(confirmed through BBT charting, and my luteal phase was 12 days long, with spotting starting on the 10 day this last time). I was on the pill for 9 years, and before starting the pills, I didn`t have any premenstrual spotting of any kind.

so i had sex around the 11th morning and 12th morning and 13th early sunday morning. so monday the 14th i had these intense pelvic cramps that almost made me want to double over, i couldnt move i had a hard time breathing, even trying to poop hurt like hell. i have had some nausea and my nipples are very tender, now these are signs of pms for me, but i have never had the spotting or pelvic pain like that before.

I started my first cycle when I was 12. Normally, my periods were always exactly 28/29 days apart and last five days, with normal blood flow. Also, my last 3 periods have been 35-38 days apart, still lasting 5 days with normal bleeding. The fact that your cycles are still fairly regular (albeit longer) and follow PMS symptoms indicate that ovulation is happening.

I was supposed to come on on Oct. 29 but didn`t come on until Sun Oct 31. Is there a possibility of pregnancy? I`ve experienced the symptoms of pregnancy and I`ve heard they can confused with pms. If you have missed a menstrual period, the only way to know for sure if you are pregnant is to perform a pregnancy test.

The fact that you have stopped experiencing PMS symptoms is more indicative that you may have stopped ovulating. You can test this by purchasing an ovulation predictor kit from the drug store. If you fail to ovulate, the biggest concern outside of pregnancy, is that the signal to cause all of the lining of the uterus to shed every month is not received.
