Weight gain after marriage (08/15/2007 08:56AM) |
| I am 27 and got married 18months ago.I have been taking contraceptives as safety measure. There is no evidence that oral contraceptive pills increase the incidence of infertility. It is known that women on OCPs have a lower incidence of pelvic inflammatory disease, a cause of infertility. | |

Stretched fallopian tube length & infertility (06/07/2006 08:15PM) |
| This cyst stretched the length of one of my fallopian tubes to about double the normal length. Will stretched tube increase risk of ectopic pregancy or infertility? The human body has amazing regenerative powers, and I am frequently impressed at how organs such as the fallopian tube and ovary can look completely normal a year after surgery to remove a large tumor or cyst. | |

Confused about laparoscopy (01/23/2008 03:12PM) |
| What are the reasons for having laparoscopy and does it matter if i don`t (considering i don`t get massive period pains). The classic symptoms are pain with intercourse, pain with bowel movements, pain with menses and infertility. Laparoscopy with removal of the adhesions would help with some of those symptoms as well as reduce the chance of infertility and ectopic. | |

Could STD go away on own after many years (02/14/2007 04:14PM) |
| Also I cheated once durign this time, got symptoms of STD`s , pain and burning during sex, and urination. I don`t know all they tested for so it makes me wonder if I might have had sTD that causes sterility, PID. Testing for infertility (X-ray test to determine tubal blockage) will be very expensive and not covered by the free clinic. | |

Endometriosis/ ectopic pregnancy (08/09/2004 08:41AM) |
| Endometriosis can be a cause of back pain. There are many other non-gynecologic causes of back pain, and they should be considered before attributing all the pain to your previous history of endometriosis. If your pain is from endometriosis, it would improve with pregnancy, so that should be your primary focus. |
