Why am I always hot? (07/04/2008 09:53AM)
I am constantly hot when no one else is and I break a sweat with minimal effort. When I exert myself (jogging, playing sports) my face turns bright red and I feel like I am going to pass out. When I am in hot or humid temperatures over 80 degrees or so, I start to feel physically ill, my skin will crawl, and I will want to jump out of my skin.

Armpit pain (05/15/2007 05:18PM)
After the course of a few weeks, it spread to my left armpit and all of the spots that hurt in my right armpit were mirrored exactly in my left armpit. nbsp; Sometimes, if the pain comes and goes, the pain can be hormonally triggered.

But again, check your bras--that's a common and often overlooked cause of breast pain in women.

What`s causing cloudy thinking/irritable? (04/22/2008 04:03PM)
These are my meds: Enalapril 10mg BID, Amlodipine 10mg 1/2 OD, Atenolol 50mg OD, Levothyroxin 100mcg OD, HCTZ 50mg OD, Lovastatin 40mg OD, Amytriptyline 25mg HS.

With that as a background, the most common symptoms (and these are usually only about 1-3% of subjects) experienced by people on the various drugs are as follows:

1. enalapril - low blood pressure, dizziness, fatigue, high potassium, nausea/vomiting, elevated kidney function, musculoskeletal pain, cold symptoms

Inner shaking, heart palpitations, vibrations (06/21/2007 04:28PM)
I am a 34 year old female who has a history of Irritable bowel syndrome, PCOS(with hypoglycemia and heavy irregular periods since 15 yrs old),and Sinus tachycardia, and sleep apnea. I have had inner shaking, heart thumping and a vibrational sensation throughout my upper body both while sleeping and awake, that has lasted a week and a half. I could start anti-biotics but am trying to rule out the cause of this inner shaking first.

Do I need to see a doctor right away? (02/14/2007 07:24AM)
It also sounds like your family physician would want to have a cardiologist see you, as a heart rate at 250 beats per minute is too high, especially if you have palpitations (heart beating irregularly).  Also, if you have a blood clotting disorder, you may want to consider a non-hormonal type of birth control, as all birth control pills increase the risk of blood clots.  So, I would encourage you to see your family physician now, and ask for a consult to a cardiologist (...

Irregular high blood pressure (06/30/2008 11:50AM)
When I`m not active, (sedentary) my blood pressure is well within the desirable range.   As long as your resting blood pressure is normal, you are probably ok.   A 24 hour study gives you a more precise assessment of your true average blood pressure.

What`s wrong with me? (02/26/2008 01:13PM)
I`m 29 years old I`m not overweight I have heart palpitations, fast heart beat and every time I get up from laying down I become very dizzy and at times my legs have given out on me.   You should probably get at a minimum, a blood count, blood sugar, kidney function, thyroid function and an electrocardiogram.   You may even need a 24 h recording of your heart beat (Holter monitor).

Isolated diastolic blood pressure (12/06/2007 05:00PM)

Almost all of the risk of elevated blood pressure is due to the systolic pressure (the upper number).   It is not clear, if your elevated diastolic pressure (the lower number) of 90 -100 is associated with increased risk.   In people over age 50, an elevated diastolic blood pressure poses no increase in risk at all.

Pheochromocytoma? (08/20/2007 10:49AM)
All what happened to me that I described in my question on "high blood pressure and low pulse" really look like the symptoms of pheochromocytoma but only the urine tests will give us the answer.

Although episodes of severe hypertension are often considered typical of pheochromocytoma, in many cases the hypertension is fairly mild but sustained.

Pheochromocytoma is rare, but it should to be considered in every case of hypertension that does not respond well...

High diastolic BP and heart palpitations (06/07/2007 04:57PM)
Maintain a normal body weight (body mass index 18.5 to 24.9)

2.  Consume a diet rich in fruits, vegetables and lowfat dairy products.

3.  Reduce salt intake to 6 gm per day or less (2.4 gm of sodium or less).

4.  Engage in regular aerobic physical activity

5.  Limit alcohol consumption to no more than 2 drinks per day (1 drink per day in women)

If these measures don't control your blood pressure, you will need medication.
