Question:
Can you please tell me the density of fat and if possible where you can find this information? thankyou.
Answer:
Fat mass density is about 0.9007 g/cm3.
Fat-free mass density is about 1.1 g/cm3.
One article stating this is, “Going, SB. Densitometry. In: Human Body Composition, edited by Roche AF, Heymsfield SB, and Lohman TG.. Champaign, IL: Human Kinetics, 1996, p. 3-24.”
Hope this helps.
