Hello, I got my braces on 4 days ago and ever since I have had them on I have had these really really bad pains in my tummy and trouble breathing? What are in the metal braces? I think I could be allergic to them. I also have a Nance in the roof of my mouth and what is that for?

There have been reported cases of nickel allergy. Nickel is found in most brackets. Some manufacturers have nickel-free braces so you should discuss this with your doctor. A Nance is used to create anchorage and is an important part of the treatment. Again, ask your doctor about this.
