Possible to have an Allergy without Symptoms?
04/10/2009 |
Question:
Is it possible to have a positive blood test for a food allergen but not experience any allergic symptoms when the substance is ingested?
Thank you.
Answer:
Absolutely. The blood test means only that you have allergic antibody to the food. This finding does not necessarily also mean clinical reactions to the food.
