Sloughing Off off Skin in My Mouth
06/11/2010 |
Question:
I have persistent sloughing off of the skin (mucous membrane) on the inside of my mouth. It is almost a daily occurrence. Is this a problem? I drink alcohol frequently (mostly red wine)…Could it possibly be caused by that?
Answer:
Your condition is probably not due to alcohol intake. A very small amount of daily sloughing may be normal, but a large amount should be checked by your local dentist first and then possibly an oral pathologist second.
