Painful Underside of Tongue/Bed of Mouth
06/15/2010 |
Question:
Hey there, for about the past 13 days the bed area underneath my tongue has been irritated. Most of the time it feels rather dry, but I`m thinking most of the irritation is associated with the strip of flesh that connects the tongue to the bottom of the mouth. Now, when I try to use my tongue to touch my molars, for example, that strip of skin is painful and feels like it has been torn slightly or something. Is there anything I can do to help the healing? Or could this be evidence of a much bigger problem?
Thanks in advance
Answer:
Most likely you have strained the area and will feel better in another week or two. If not, you should follow up with your dentist or physician.
