Vascular Surgery

100% Carotid Artery Blockage

09/21/2010

Question:

Why is surgery not done for 100% carotid artery blockage with stroke symptoms on the left side?

Answer:

Thank you for visiting NetWellness. When a carotid artery is totally occluded, it is not possible to re-open it, nor is it safe.
