Esa M Davis, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, Division of Research, at the School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Davis does research on weight changes during pregnancy and afterwards in an attempt to help women avoid becoming obese and developing diabetes. She is also interested in research that may help doctors understand how women from different ethnic and socioeconomic groups tend to become obese at different rates, and how these factors might influence how women make medical decisions for themselves. Dr. Davis went to medical school at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ, and received her Master’s of Public Health Degree from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, MD. She is board-certified as a Diplomat from the American Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Davis belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, the National Medical Association, and the North American Association for the Study of Obesity.
