David R Nunley, MD, FCCP

Dr. David Nunley matriculated from the Marshall University School of Medicine in 1985 and completed his residency training in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Kentucky. He then completed a fellowship in adult Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Wisconsin before attending the University of Pittsburgh to complete a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.

In 1993 while at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Nunley began his work in lung transplantation and was awarded a two-year National Research Service Award Fellowship to study transplant immunology. To date, he has authored over twenty articles on the subject of lung transplantation and is an active member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, the American Thoracic Society, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He has also been awarded Fellowship in the American College of Chest Physician and is recognized by the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) as having special expertise in Transplant Pulmonology.

Following appointments at both the University of Pittsburgh and Emory University in Atlanta, Dr. Nunley presently holds an appointment as Associate Professor of Medicine at The Ohio State University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. His special interests include the critical care management of solid organ transplant patients and lung transplantation for suppurative pulmonary disorders.
