Lump in neck09/30/2008 03:22PM |
hi, i recently had a sore throat that lasted a week i had a sore neck to go with it...as a result i rubbed my neck and found two small pea sized lumps they are very soft and movabile they seem to get smaller then bigger do i need to be worried
Two possibilities exist. Either the lumps were already there and you never noticed them before, or they are a result of your recent infection. Pea sized lymph nodes after an infection are invariably reactive lymph nodes and not cancers. They likely will go away over a few weeks, but sometimes they persist for years. If you would like to have a physician evaluate them, please call your local ENT specialist.
