What Can I Do to Flatten My Stomach?

Question:

Hello there, my question is very simple.  I want to desperately lose weight, but can`t seem to flatten my stomach. What is the best exercise for it and how can I do it, how many times and how many times a week? Please tell me the details and also when the results can be predicted. I also want to have a slim and tight body. What exercise can I do for that? 

Answer:

Weight management is best achieved through a combination of proper diet and physical activity. Initially, moderate levels of physical activity (for example, walking) for 30-45 minutes, 3-5 days per week, is encouraged. Strength training is also a very important component in weight management. Keep in mind that all activity counts, so make physical activity a part of each day. Aim to lose about 10 percent of your weight over approximately 6 months. Loss of 1/2 to 2 pounds per week is usually safe.

 Regarding diet, let the food guide pyramid guide your food choices. Choose a variety of grains daily, especially whole grains. In addition, choose a variety of fruits and vegetables and strive to eat five servings a day of fruits, vegetables, or a combination of both.
