Breast Cancer |
Swollen breast lymph nodes06/10/2009 |
YES I FOUND A LUMP UNDER MY LEFT BREAST AND HAD A MAMMO AND A ULTRASOUND. THE ULTRASOUND SHOWS 2 SWOLLEN LYMPH NODES. THE RADIOLIST RECOMMENDED TO COME BACK IN 6 MO. TO SEE IF ANY CHANGE. WHATS THE NEXT STEP IF NO CHANGE. IS IT POSSIBLE THE NODES CAN GO DOWN?
From what you have told me, follow-up sooner seems necessary. I would speak first with your primary care physician to get an idea of why 6 month follow-up was recommended. Some breast cancers cannot be seen by mammogram, so normal mammogram should not be too much reassurance if you feel a lump and lymph nodes are seen on ultrasound.
