Eustachian tube blocked

09/15/2009

Question:

i have constant mucus in my nose dripping down the back of my throat. Constant pressure in my right ear it fills it needs to be drained by insurting a tube in it to drain the mucus away could you please give me some advice on what i can do.

Answer:

Much of your symptoms seem to stem from sinus-nasal type issues which then seem to incite ear problems. In such a case, treating the ear doesn’t seem like it will address the primary problems. Start with an evaluation by an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor and then consider additional work-up such as allergy testing. Ear problems should routinely get evaluated by a hearing test as well.
