Pandemic Flu

Bleeding after vaccination

12/21/2009

Question:

My 8-year-old son had his flu vaccine yesterday. In the afternoon of the same day he fell off his bike and scratched his foot which bled a lot. Eventually the nurse took care of him but my question is: Is it possible for the bleeding to affect the immunization effect of the vaccine he had had?

Answer:

The bleeding will not affect the immunization that he had.
