Palatal Tori09/13/2010 |
I just found out I have a Tori Palatal. My question is can cancer come into play in the ridge of the mouth area? My father passed of a brain tumor back in 2005. I am concerned. My dentist said not to worry, for now I can go without outpatient surgery. My mom, she is a breast cancer survivor so I am at high risk. The Tori Palatal does not hurt in any way, shape, or form, I have no pain. Thank you.
Palatal Tori are just normal bumps of bone like a boney elbow. Your Dentist is absolutely correct. They do not turn into or cause cancer. Don't worry, be happy.
