Recently I found something under my arm that concerned me so I went to the Nurse Practioner at the health department were I get my yearly pap and breast exams, she did not feel the "lump" I was worried about, said it was probably a tendon (I think is what she called it)She did a breast exam, thought things felt fine, then went back over the breast that I was there about the lump in armpit, after feeling for sometime she decided that there was a more thick spot in that breast than my...

Breast pain (04/22/2008 05:09PM)
While having sex, he kind of hurt me while sucking my breast i.e. nipple and it is still hurting me since yesterday, is there a problem?? No traces are shown on the nipple nor breast. You can try ice rubs to the nipple (use an ice cube and just rub the nipple with it until it's less painful) or some Motrin or Tylenol if you don't have any other conditions that might interfere with the medication.

Worried about breast bump (05/14/2008 04:47PM)
On the very tip of my right breast, I noticed a hard bump on my nipple. It could be a blocked gland on the breast or it could be some nipple discharge that got blocked. In either case, the new appearance of any kind of breast lump should be evaluated by your provider as soon as possible.

Extended breast pain (11/26/2007 02:41PM)

Hi, I have always had some type of breast pain prior to my menstrual cycle but this month the tenderness started about 2 weeks prior, continued throughout my period and afterwards. Breast pain on both sides can come from a variety of causes. Usually we’d want to assess what medications you are taking, if there is a history of cancer or other previous breast disease, if there are any lumps in the breasts, or if you have nipple discharge.

Bump (03/06/2007 03:42PM)
I am 36 and have a bump slightly off center on my left nipple. I have looked at other questions and websites but they all talk about nipple discharge and I have had no nipple discharge.

There are some normal "bumps" on the nipple that are called Montegomery's Tubercles.

Left breast pain (02/27/2007 04:27PM)
I am 25 years old and have been having left breast pain for about 3 days now.

There are many things that can cause breast pain. If you see anything unusual, including a change in the contour of your breast, a change in the texture or color of the skin of your breast or any discharge from your nipple, you should contact your health care provider immediately.

Pain in the left breast (02/05/2007 05:14PM)

Breast pain can be a result of many conditions. Breast pain is rarely the first sign of a breast malignancy. However, breast pain (or pain anywhere for that matter) is not normal and indicates that something is not right.

Question related to nipple discharge (05/01/2006 09:24AM)

The breasts often become painful in response to the hormone changes that occur during the menstrual cycle.

Regarding the nipple discharge you experienced: The breasts are glandular organs, so it is not unusual to have discharge from the nipples--especially if the discharge is from both nipples, it is clear, and occurred as a result of squeezing the nipple (you did not mention how the discharge occurred). There are many reasons for nipple discharge; most are not ...
