Hypodensity in the Parietal Lobe
05/28/2010 |
Question:
I recently had a CT-Scan with the results stating that I have a “non aggressive hypodensity deep in the white matter of the parietal lobe, likely a prominent perivascular space”. I have tried to get the definition explained in layman`s terms, but have been unsuccessful in finding someone able to interpret the results. Could you please elaborate/explain what this means? I was medivac`d from Iraq (I am active duty army) before being able to consult with the radiologist to explain it to me. Thanks so much!
Answer:
Thank you for visiting NetWellness. I’m not sure what is meant by non-aggressive; however, a perivascular space is just space around a blood vessel and is typically normal.
