Krishnanath Gaitonde, MD

Dr. Krishnanath Gaitonde is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Urology at the University of Cincinnati's College of Medicine. He is also the Co-Director of the Endourology, Laparoscopy & Robotic Surgery Fellowship Program at UC and a Staff Urologist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he also serves as the Physician Lead for the Robotic Prostatectomy Program.

In 1994, Dr. Gaitonde received his medical degree from Goa Medical College in Goa, India. Afterward, Dr. Gaitonde received specialized training in surgery and urology. Following this, he underwent extensive subspecialty training in minimally invasive urologic surgery, including a Fellowship in Endourology, Laparoscopy and Robotic Surgery at UC.

Dr. Gaitonde's areas of specialization are kidney and prostate cancer; laparoscopy and robotic surgery for urologic tumors; robotic radical prostatectomy; robotic kidney sparing surgery for renal tumors; cryotherapy for kidney and prostate cancer; reconstructive laparoscopic surgery; and endourology/laser procedures for complex stone disease and benign prostate enlargement.
